About Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Say it three times, and the musical adaptation of the 1988 comedy classic will appear for a third Broadway run! See social media star Trisha Paytas perform from November 4-23 only.

The Beetlejuice musical keeps Tim Burton's distinctive, spooky aesthetic from the 1988 film intact and adds plenty of pop culture and theatre humor, frightfully catchy songs, and plenty of special effects to the story of teenager Lydia Deetz, who discovers her family's new house is haunted by its previous owners, a timid suburban couple, and Beetlejuice, who helps Lydia frighten the new tenants away while doing some scheming of his own.

Amid the title character's zany antics is also a show about family, making the most of life while you have it, and making the most of death if you're stuck in it. A New York Theatre Guide review calls Beetlejuice "a parade of eccentricity with flair and great comedy technique that turns it into a subversive delight."

  • Multiple stars of the original Beetlejuice movie have come to see the show, including Geena Davis (who played Barbara) and Catherine O'Hara (who played Delia). They both loved it!

  • The Beetlejuice musical gained lots of its fans by going viral on social media. It all started when the cast posted videos from backstage, doing trendy TikTok dances in costume.
